Modern Highline 2.0 — 6'0" High Volume Shortboard

The Modern Highline 2.0 in 6'0" is the sweet spot of the range — a high volume shortboard with enough foam to make surfing genuinely fun in average conditions, and enough shortboard DNA to actually push your surfing forward. Recommended for surfers up to 75kg, this is the size most intermediate surfers will reach for when they're ready to step away from a foamie or a chunky funboard and start riding something that responds to proper technique.

Modern kept everything that worked in the original Highline — the plan shape and rocker remain unchanged — and focused their energy on the bottom contour. The update features a dramatically tweaked bottom contour that has a small amount of Vee upfront, then a noticeable double concave with a lot of Vee between the fins. That combination means the board generates speed naturally across flat sections and releases cleanly through turns, making it significantly easier to link manoeuvres than on a traditional high volume shape.

At 6'0" x 21¾" x 2¾" and 42 litres, this is a board that paddles with authority and catches waves early, but still fits under your arm like a shortboard and surfs in a way that builds real skills. By dramatically increasing your wave count it in turn increases your confidence, and with the updated bottom contour it increases the ease of turning the board. The more waves you catch, the faster you improve — and the Highline 2.0 is designed around exactly that idea.

Built in traditional PU/polyester construction, CNC milled and hand laminated using quality Hexcel fibreglass, Silmar resin and Bennett foam for a responsive, durable ride. FCSII Tri Performer fins are included so you can hit the water straight away.
