Ray White Maguires - One Team Auckland Paddlefest

The Ray White Maguires - One Team Auckland Paddlefest is about to kick off for 2018 / 2019. If you haven't already signed up now's the time to get online and sign up! It's not all racing this season. There is going to be be multple facets to each Thursday night at Mission Bay. 




To help ensure that Paddlefest has no barriers for those new to Stand Up Paddle Boarding. This year the organisers have introduced a Learn to SUP division. Join a group of likeminded folks and enjoy a one hour lesson which includes all your equipment. Join as an individual or maybe create a group with your workmates. There is limited spaces available each week so be sure to sign up well ahead of time. Click here to find out more.




Want to focus on getting fit at the beach each week, rather than racing? Or maybe your waiting for another family member or friend to finish? Why not make the most of your time and join the 45 minute Flex Fitness Training Session. This full body training session will be guided by a qualified Personal Trainer and involves both land and water excercises, all in an encouraging group environment. If you do own a board then bring it along, as paddling is included for those who choose to. It will also cater for those that prefer a beach boot camp but don't have a board. Race Divisions

Kids 1.5km SUP (any SUP)

Age categories for both male and female include:

12 & under

14 & under

18 & under

Adults 4.5km SUP (14ft & under)

Age categories for both male and female include:

19 - 39

40 - 49

50 - 59

60 - 69

70 & over

Adults 3km SUP (14ft & under)

There will be 2 x age categories for both males and females. This will be a split down the middle of registered participants before Event #1

Adults 1.5km SUP (any SUP)

There is a male and female division but no age categories.

This is a great option for someone who likes to paddle socially and would like to meet other paddlers. This is free weekly option which includes a 45 minute guided group paddle, followed by a drink and meal deal, plus spot prizes at the weekly after party at Mission Bay Pavilion. An exciting new initiative to allow SUP participants to compete against themselves and others, in their own time. This new addition to the series allows you to gauge your own fitness and skill levels all whilst creating great banter and fun amongst your paddling mates. 

Two courses (segments) - one in Mission Bay and another in Takapuna have been created. The three fastest male and female competitors on each segment at the end of the series will be awarded trophies and medals at our end of season prize giving. Plus anyone who takes part will go in the draw to WIN a new Suunto GPS. If Paddling the segment correctly your time will automatically sync on the leaderboard immediately after finishing. You can then see if you achieved your own record, or managed to catch a mate.

To take part, you simply need a Strava account and a GPS watch. You can however still take part if you don't have a GPS watch by simply paddling with your phone. If your keen to participate cobatct to put your name down for an onsite group introduction and they'll get you started.
