FY SUB SERIES

The Fy Sub Series is the higher performance evolution of the Fy Spectrum series. A short format, low volume range (7’6 x 27.5 x 98L – 8’2 x 31.5 x 131L) that offers the perfect balance of narrow tail rail to rail flow + short board response + wide nose for stability and easier wave-catching. Fy find many short format SUP too wide (and thick) in the tail, making them feel rather binary. Along with a semi narrow tail, we’ve reduced tail thickness, creating wafer thin tail rails…  this is a game changer for back foot control. Fy have also reduced nose thickness to lower swing weight. Five fin (thruster or quad) set up, with Fy's unique 4 x futures + 4 slot FCS 1 centre, offering 3 centre fin positions (I’m in love with this, after swapping to forward centre slots on the 7’8 x 104L in small surf and getting this tail sliding, twin-fin feel!)

Another point to note is thinning out the ‘virtual’ volume of nose and tail area doesn’t reduce stability.

And, like the Fy Spectrum, the Fy Subs are hand-made with the unique beauty and weight-saving strength of full wood laminate.
