After much discussion I proceeded to buy a Tom Carroll Long Grain against the advice of the sup center team. Having surfed a solid 190 liter Adventure board for the last 4 years I found the transition too severe - had difficulty staying up right. As someone said on seabreeze "Tom makes it look easy". They very obligingly took the TC back and I bought the Jimmy Lewis Striker as first recommended. Total fun, stayed dry above the knees on my first surf session. Thank you SUP center for the sound advice and great deals.
